  • Based on Fedora Core 3 optimized for i686 architecture, LormaLinux 2005 features extremely simple installation created for educational institution and workstation users on just 1 CD.

  • This release of LormaLinux makes sure that all packages are clean and have all the dependencies covered.

  • Packages where carefully selected, evaluated and recompiled for i686 architecture. With the addition of packages that will make your LormaLinux experience a lot of fun.

  • With the addition of the latest version of Wine, a windows compatibility layer for Unix. For extreme cross-platform gaming pleasure.

  • In addition to our previous release we have added Mozilla Thunderbird for mail and newsgroup client. Plus we have incorporated the RealPlayer package to provide a solid media playback locally and via streaming.

  • gdm was removed for users to have no hassle of logging in into kde desktop.

  • VNC or Virtual Network Computing was also integrated as a default package which allows users to view a computing 'desktop' environment not only on the machine where it is running, but from anywhere on the internet and from a wide variety of machine architecture.
